I am a Raleigh native who has lived in North Carolina my entire life. After completing my degree in Education at North Carolina State University, I taught high school for several years before returning to school to attain my MBA at East Carolina University. For over 20 years I was employed by  large corporations in sales, business development and account management before starting my own company. Now my mission is to help my clients understand their choices and find insurance plans that fit their needs and pocketbook. I assist people with finding Affordable Care Act, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Prescription, dental, vision and Short Term Medical policies.

Although the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has benefited the health insurance consumer in many respects, it has also added to the confusion. To stay abreast of these changes I’m a member of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) and our local chapter, NCTriangle.

Wanda Stephens and other members of the TriangleLike many of my fellow health insurance professionals, I participated in all of WRAL’s Affordable Care Act “Here to Help” phone banks. During these phone banks we received hundreds of calls from individuals in North Carolina who needed help applying for a government subsidized health plan.

As a firm believer in the importance of maintaining one’s health insurance even during a financial setback such as a job loss, I do presentations and provide support to local job seeker groups. My support to these groups includes explaining their options and assisting them in obtaining a government subsidized health insurance policy.

I operate my company out of a home office where I live with my husband, Ron Jungling. This arrangement allows me to be available to address my customers’ questions and concerns during the evenings and weekends as well as during regular working hours.
